For initial tracking, I played rhythm guitar and Erin sang. I then overdubbed upright bass, lead acoustic guitar, lapslide, and drums. I used distance in the micing to attempt a natural, live feel to things.

SMZB
SMZB is a punk band in Wuhan, China. I recorded this on a trip to Wuhan where is was recording my friend’s band. As a favor, we did some quick recording of other local bands. We cut this track in a tiny square concrete basement.
This song is called Fucket, as in “Fucking Rocket”. It is a reaction to the Chinese government dumping resources into a space program while the majority of Chinese still live in poverty. This is real punk rock folks. By the way, the drummer is a girl.
